Momentum out now!
Listen to Chad Frick’s debut album here!
Chad Frick was a college student at Clemson University when he penned what would become his first single, If I Seem Afraid in a 15-minute heat of rage at the impending doom of growing older. A product of the DMV and proud Montgomery County, Marylander, Frick has always sought to bring honor to his family, hometown and upbringing by chronicling the stories that built him.
Frick moved to Tampa immediately after graduation to work in music booking. The spiritual day-long drive from South Carolina to Florida is documented in Dance With The Devil, with the autobiographical lines: “I drove to paradise, I had nothing left to lose. I had a lifetime ahead, and I had everything to prove.” Through a year of post-grad life in which Frick booked 3500+ shows for 750+ performers, DJs, and bands, Chad wrote song after song in his echoing, empty garage and dusty outdoor staircase.
Songwriting was a hidden hobby that Frick pretended was just a private means of expression and not the growing seeds of a dream, until President Roosevelt’s Man In The Arena speech knocked him into an unescapable clarity he’d been avoiding. Chad quit his budding corporate career to embark on “his own Alaska,” dedicating himself to expressing his passion for life through song. The all-American 23-year-old songwriter’s guitar-heavy blend of americana, country, and rock combines with his on-stage charisma to create memorable, exciting, foot-stomping, singalong, bring-everyone-you-know live performances. Like his influences, Jimmy Buffett, John Mayer and Bruce Springsteen - Frick’s greatest strength is as a storyteller.
Momentum - Frick’s 18-track debut album out November 2024 - is named after one of the many forces that compelled him to begin this journey. If you ask Frick, he’d proudly tell you he didn’t get here alone; he’s grateful to those who have helped him reach this point in his life, and hopes to repay them by making them proud, and making ‘em dance. With one album out and many more to come, this is just the beginning of Chad Frick’s journey.
